Yu Fang Wang received her M.D. degree from Shanghai First Medical College, now affiliated with Fu Dan University, Shanghai, China, and the Certificate of Tuina (Chinese massage) from the Huatuo School, China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing, China. She has worked in both clinical and research settings for over 35 years, was a co-author on 25 scientific publications, and received a research fellow award at the 14th International GI Motility Symposium, Muskoka, ON, Canada.


She was a  nephrologist in Zhongshan Hospital, Shanghai First Medical College, Shanghai, China. After immigrating to Canada, she worked in the biomedical science pain field at McMaster University. She has been studying various pains since working at McMaster’s Pain Institute and obtained the certificate for Contemporary Medical Acupuncture for Health Professionals, a 300 hour Continuing Education Health Science Program at McMaster University. She offers Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Cupping Massage and Acupressure treatments.
